Regular Collection Days


  • Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • 2nd Saturday each month, 8 a.m. - noon

Accepted Recyclables


Beverage plastic (PETE Number 1)


  • 2-liter soda bottles, other clear juice or household product containers. Check code on bottom
  • Rinsed, no lids

Natural Plastic (HDPE Number 2)


  • Milk jugs (cloudy plastic)
  • Rinsed, no lids

Colored Plastic (HDPE Number 2)


  • Rinsed, no lids
  • Typically, detergent bottles, household products, white or colors. Check code on bottom

Plastic Bags (Number 2)


  • Collected with White’s Foodliner

Mixed Plastics (Number 3-7)


  • Plastic tubs (cottage and cream cheese, yogurt, some margarine, whipped topping, fast food cups - check code on bottom)

Chemical Plastics


  • Must be triple rinsed, label removed and a hole poked in bottom of container.

Tin Cans


  • Rinsed, no lids

Glass


  • All lids and rings must be removed
  • Clear, brown and green glass (please sort)
  • Food and beverage containers only (no window glass, light bulbs, ceramics, auto glass, mirrors)
  • Labels do not need to be removed

Aluminum Cans


  • Empty and rinsed if possible
  • No aluminum foil or pans

Newspaper


  • Dry and clean newspaper and inserts (“If it comes in the paper, it goes with the paper”)

Magazines & Catalogs


  • Including slick advertisement paper

Phone Books


  • Dry and clean

Cardboard (OCC)


  • Corrugated cardboard, flattened, flat finish (no wax)
  • Dry and clean
  • Paper grocery sacks

White Office Pack Paper


  • Copy machine paper, white only
  • Shredded paper, white (no color paper or envelopes - these go in mixed office pack)

Mixed Office Pack Paper


  • Carbonless forms
  • Computer printouts
  • Envelopes, white and plastic windows
  • Opened junk mail
  • Pastel, light colored paper
  • Stapled items

Chipboard


  • Brown envelopes
  • Cereal, facial tissue boxes
  • Dark and fluorescent colored paper
  • File folders

Styrofoam


No polystyrene accepted (no Styrofoam).

Plastic Container Code System


The code is located on the bottom or bottles or containers. It allows you to identify the main type of plastic resin material used in the bottle or container.

Important: Please thoroughly rinse all plastics, glass and metals and remove lids and flatten if possible.

A $5 fee is collected for every CRT computer monitor and tube type television (exact change required).
